Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I'm not one to listen to a lot of news or read the paper. Years ago I decided that there was far too much violence in the world for me so I just disconnected myself from it and went about my life. However, on September 11,2001 my life as well as millions of others was changed forever even if we didn't want it to be. I was working around my house, doing the usual cleaning and straightening when I received a call from my daughter asking me if I had my television on. I told her no, as I usually didn't when I was there by myself, and she told me to turn it on now, the United States had just been attacked. I guess it didn't really register at first what she was telling me but I turned my TV on and when I did, they were showing the towers crashing and the people running and screaming. It was like something from a bad movie and all I could do was cry. I cried all day off and on for the people that I knew had to die in all of this and for our country and what it would do to us. I knew from that point on, none of us would ever be the same again. I guess in some ways, it was a good change for us because I think we all became more aware of one anothers feelings and of telling one another how we felt, but the sadness I felt then, and will always feel in my heart will never go away. September 11, 2001 is a day I want to always remember and forget all at the same time.
