Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was working over time from 9am. to 2pm. on the day of September 11. We have televisions all around the store to show advertisements and such. The crash was all over every t.v. that we have. I think that every person in the store stopped and all went silent. No one could beleive what has happened. Some people started crying for their loved ones at home and some for their loved ones who they knew were going to have to go and fight in this war. A lot of customers were buying everything that you would buy for a bad storm, others were saying that they were going to withdraw all of their money from the bank. I had a customer ask me if me and my family needed anything or any money. I have never seen such kindness along with so much hurt in my life. When I left work, I thanked God for my life and all that I still had. I called my mother first thing and told her that I loved her so much. I called my boyfriend and told him the same thing. I did not know anyone who was lost in this tragedy, but it still hurt me the same. I know that I will never take my life for granted and I thank God every night for all that I have. I know that no one in this country has been untouched by this, and no one's life will ever be the same. I now have a two month old daughter, and I look at her today and I know how blessed I am. My heart and prayers go out to every one in this country, every one who risked their lives to save someone else, and to all those who lost someone on that tradject day. God has a special place in heaven for them all, and just remember that you will be with them some day. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
