Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I would like to start with a brief history on my expreience with the World Trade Center. Two years ago, my family and I took a vacation to our Nation's Capital, and New York City. We planned on visiting New York last, because we were going to spend the most time there. We took the train into the city, and that was the very first time I ever saw the Twin Towers. They were incredible, and intimidating. I was so excited, because that was all I really was concerned about visiting in New York. I just wanted to see the Towers. I still have my ticket from the 'The Top of the World'. Two years, one month and 37 days later, at 8:25 ( utah time) my mom came into my room with a look on her face that I had never seen before. "Katie" she said...." I think you should get up, something has happened in New York, a plan just flew into the North Tower of the World Trade....the building is on fire, and people are jumping." I had a TV in my room, but I jumped out of bed and ran down to the kitchen. Moments later, the second plane hit the South Tower. I just stood there, my mom was behind me with her hands covering her mouth and she didn't speak. I watched NBC's coverage.....it was unthinkable. I looked over at my refrigerator, there was a picture of myself and my family on the observation deck of the South Tower. Although I didn't know anyone who lost their life, I too, did loose something incredibly important to me. Those building represented alot of strength and freedom. I never took that trip to the 'Top of the World' for granted, I hold it dear to my heart, I send my strength and love and support to those in need of it.
