Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: It was 6:05 am I had just woken up to get ready for work, I turned the television on to the morning news. I wanted to know what the weather was going to be like a typical day for me. I remember seeing the footage of the first plane hitting the first tower, I stood there in shock, I thought what a horrible accident. Then I saw the second plane hit the second tower and I fell to the ground. I knew at that point this was no accident, I felt scared , terrified at what had happened. I couldnt believe it, we had been attacked; tears began to fall from eyes and I began to shake. I went to work and listened to the radio all day to the reports about what was going on..I heard about the pentagon and I was devastated, those poor innocent people killed for nothing. How could this happen to us? We are a super power for cying out loud! Then the reports of possible terriost action just hit me like ton of bricks. I cried most of the afternoon, as I listened to reports of people jumping from the buildings and the buildings collapsing on many of them still trapped inside. All I wanted to do was go home curl up into a little ball and hide. I remember going home and hugging my children tighter than I ever had and then thinking thank you God for not letting it happen to me. Thank you God for allowing me to live to see my children grow up. Then I felt really guilty I felt that way. I prayed all night for those affected by this tragedy, prayed that they would all be found safe and sound, that no one would be lost. That all the families out there waiting for word on there loved one would recieve good news soon. I remember donating blankets and canned goods and teddy bears to relief funds for the people in need. September 11th will be a day I will never forget, it will live in my heart and memory forever as well as everyone elses I'm sure. You hit us once shame on us, you hit us twice you pay the price.
