911DA Story: Story
on this dreadful day i got up as useual drinking my coffee and watching the local t.v. station when live footage broke in and i was horrified.i could not believe my eyes.all i could do was cry and pray.i sat for three days with only 3 hours sleep overall.my sons ship, the u.s.s.enterprise was due home that week and i just knew it would be turned around.after the shock i realized what an honor it is to have a son in the navy doing just what he loves to do....protect our country.the pride i felt was not only for my son but for all who endeavered this tragedy and lived and died trying to salvage what was left of our country. it was a breif time, only moments before everyone in the united states held hands one way or another to show we could not be broken.my heart goes out to all who have suffered a loss as well as all who had the courage to be at ground zero to mend the city of its heartbreak.i know in my heart god had his hands on everyone during this time because it could have been a greater disaster.i still greive for the loss of all of those people and will take the pain and memories of that day to the grave, but i will always remain faithful to god for allowing us to overcome.
