Tell us your story: My husband woke me up and told me to turn on the tv, I saw the WTC burning and the newscaster said that a plane had hit the WTC. Then as we were watching another plane came into view I looked at my husband and said "that is a passenger plane Suddenly they broke in and said that a plane had hit the Pentagon, I grabbed the phone and called my daughter who lives less than a mile from the Pentagon. I finally got through and asked her if they were ok she told me that she didnt know where her husband was then I heard a loud banging at her door-they were evacuating the building. I had to leave for work but as I stood there watching the tv I saw the first tower collapse. There were so many emotions going through me-fear,anger,sadness a loss that cannot be explained. I work at a small airport and when I got there things were crazy, we had planes all over the place, most were bigger than we usually handle. People were stranded with nowhere to go. My wonderful Mom owns the restaurant at the airport it is called MARYS PLANE VIEW she fed all of the stranded passengers and help to make sure everybody had a place to go.My daughter finally called and told me how terrible things were in D.C. She was very upset and worried so I asked her to come home for a few days since her husband was on duty at the Pentagon. I DID ALOT OF CRYING FOR OUR GREAT COUNTRY DURING THAT TIME,I AM VERY PROUD OF HOW WE ALL CAME TOGETHER AND SHOWED WHAT WE ARE MADE OF. God Bless All of us and our great Country!
