I remember driving my daughter to school and hearing a report about a plane hitting the World Trade Center. Thinking it was a small plane, and not big deal, we continued on our way. As I was driving home about 20 minutes later, I finally came to understand what had really happened. I immediately called my husband, my mother and my best friend. Upon arriving at home, I turned on the TV coverage and again called my best friend. We spent the next couple of hours on the phone, watching the coverage...rarely speaking..not finding the words to convery what we were feeling. My mother often speaks of where she was when Kennedy was shot, and for once I completely understand that sentiment. I will never forget where I was on that horrific day.
