Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Hello, I am Michelle Wink. I am a full-time Military Technician and I was at work on September 11th, 2001. The day started like any other, my husband and I got up for work, we got out 3 1/2 year old son ready for Daycare. I was at work and one of our helpdesk Technicians was fixing my computer when my phone rang; It was my husband. He asked me if I had seen the news? I said no. "You need to go get to a tv and turn it on, The WTC tower is on fire, they think a plane hit it." I sheepishly walked into my Supervisor's Office and said "Sir, Can we turn your TV on, my husband just called and said that a plane hit the World Trade Center" He looked at me weird but did as i had requested....and we sat there in his office in such dis-belief of what was happening, and i couldn't move from the chair. It seemed like forever but others in the office started crowding around the TV and when the 2nd Plane hit, i screamed and started crying.....OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!!! i have never been so scared in my entire life....i had to walk out of the room....Then immediately we heard something hit the Pentagon......then it was true, another airplane.....and then Pennsylvania crash which we now know was an attempt on the White House diverted by Brave Heroic people. I was dumbfounded, and shocked to say the least at the tragic events. At the time I was also 3 1/2 months pregnant, I now have a beautiful baby girl along with my 4 year old Son, I thank God every day that I have them and that they are safe. God Bless America.
