911DA Story: Story

I was lying in bed, half asleep, when I heard a scream coming from my mom's bedroom. I paid no attention to it at first. "she must have dropped something or spilled something" I thought. As usual, I turned on my TV to watch the TODAY show. Complete chaos had taken over the moring program. I tried to wake up as quickly as possible so I could understand what was happening. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing! As I watched, the second plane exploded into the second Twin Tower! For a moment I thought I was still dreaming. This had to be a nightmare! Reality set in as my mother flew into my room, tears streaming down her face. The WTC and the Pentagon have been hit! Who is doing this? Why are they doing this? Is it over? Suddenly, the rest of the USA seemed to freeze. Business were closing. Airports were closing. The USA stopped. We watched as the towers collapsed. We watched as the news reported the downed plane in PA. Shock was replaced by fear. Fear was replaced by anger. Anger was replaced by sorrow. I knew in an instant that the world would never be the same; my life would never be the same. The affects of that day are still being felt. I am certain that they will continue to be felt for eternity.
