I had just finished assisting in oral surgery on an AIDS patient. I was taking the IV from her arm when I heard about the first plane hitting. I thought it was just a freak accident. Minutes later I heard of the other plane, then the Pentagon and the other plane in the field. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said, outloud, "you never know when it is going to be your last day or someone elses that you love", and turned to the AIDS patient and realized what I had said. She turned to me and agreed. I will never forget what that day did to America, but I will also never forget how every American joined together to help and pray. God Bless America and ALL the different people who make her up!!!
