Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: it was my junior year in high school, i remember leaving P.E. and going on my way to spanish class like i did every other day. This day was different. As i walked through the cafeteria, there were groups of people looking at the televisions. i caught a glimpse of it and thought smoke stacks were on the screen. As i got into spanish class, i realized what had happened. The t.v. was on in my spanish room, and we all sat and watched in silence as the second plane hit, and the walls came tumbling down. i was in total shock and some of us started to cry. This day brought our class together, on the last day of school in 2002, we talked about sept. 11 because this is where we all became aware of what was happening. And on the year anniversary of this horrible event, as i see the footage, and the after effects, the children without a father, or a mother, i start to cry. I hear people say that things like this happen in other countries everyday, and that we over react. But it is different, this is america and we have worked hard to have the freedoms, rights, and security that we deserve. ] even after these events, i still feel safe in our great nation.
