Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Like any other day, I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and got ready for my hour commute to work. That particular morning I had some car trouble, my alternator had went out and was making the radio fuzz in and out. I had heard something about the World Trade Center and didn't think twice about it. Once I got into the city, my vehicle eventually died and had to be taken to a repair shop, so I called into work and told them that I would be late. Upon arriving at the repair shop, it seemed as it everyone was in a state of panic, the radios were turned on, the television sets were on. Not knowing what was going on, I asked one of the mechanics what had happened. He then proceeded to tell me that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. I was in a complete state of shock, and couldn't think of anything else to do but break down and cry. After composing myself, I was glued to the television. I couldn't believe that something so tragic could happen to the United States. I kept thinking that it was all a dream, I kept thinking that we are such a strong nation, nothing like this could ever happen to us. After I arrived at work, we were all given candles and joined the rest of the city in a memorial for the remainder of the day. My thoughts and prayers are with all my fellow Americans this week.
