Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On September 11th, I was an attorney on my way to Nassau County Supreme Court on Long Island. I left my hom in Bronxville, unaware of what had happened downtown. My radio in my car was not working and the first notice I had that the WTC had been attacked was seeing it burn as I crossed the Throgs Neck Bridge. The courthouse was soon closed after I arrived. All bridges were closed. I telephoned my law firm and was advised to return to our office in White Plains right away. I called my national guard unit in the Bronx and was advised we were mobilized by order of the governor. I had to show my military ID to get across the bridges to return to my home to change into military attire and gather my belongings. I had difficulty contacting my wife that morning. As we are originally from Mississippi, she had returned there, as I had plans to soon follow. After assuring her I was safe, the most dreadful news was to tell her I was going to the site of the attack. As a desert storm veteran from active duty, I never anticipated we would be attacked on American soil. My experience from Desert Storm left me with mixed emotions toward the attack at the WTC. Most soldiers were scared and did not know what to expect when we arrived. I assured them as best I could as their officer and went to work coordinating their positions with police. The most horrific site awaited us at the south tower upon our arrival. The magnitude of the attack was beyond what most of the onlookers and civilians in the area could comprehend. The national guard supplemented the police around the perimeter of Manhattan for several weeks. These soldiers are often overlooked and not mentioned as they did not play a part in the actual rescue effort. I commend each and every soldier who was called that day with me to do their job, although it was not one they were trained for. As the war on terror is almost a year old, never forget what a soldier gives back to his country and in turn, they never asks for thanks in return. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was at work when my husband called me and said "A plane just flew into the World Trade Center, it's on the TV now". I remember thinking 'wow, how sad - maybe the pilot had a heart attack or something. Those poor people - how tragic.' I went to tell some co-workers and we began listening to the radio. I called my husband and we were discussing it, when he said "holy shit, another one flew into the other tower!" Then he said "This is War. They're out to get us." I remember thinking "Who? What? Why?" I just couldn't comprehend that someone would deliberately fly a plane into a building. I didn't understand who would do this to us and why. Our whole company then went into a conference room to watch all of this happening on TV. Then the pentagon was hit. Then another plane crashed in Pennsylvania. God, what was happening? I left the conference room crying. Sobbing. Came to my office and sat down. Then I looked out my office window, it was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky and I was 9 months pregnant with my second child. I was to have her by c-section on 9/13/01 so 9/11 was to be my last day at work. Then it hit me - how could it be such a beautiful day, and there be so much chaos/tragedy in another part of the country. Why was this happening? Who could be so evil to do this to us? Oh my God I'm going to bring a child into this cruel, cruel world. So many thoughts ran through my mind. The images kept going through my head - I felt so much sadness for all of the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends that were lost. I can't even put into words what I was feeling. I left work, went to see my husband - then went and picked up my 1 1/2 year old son at daycare. God how I held him and cried, and thanked the Lord that he was in my arms. And thought 'how many kids are not going to be able to hug their mommy or daddy tonight?' I felt lucky to be able to hold my son and hug my husband. My daughter was born on 09/13/01 at 9:28am. Looking at her made me realize how lucky I am. She was truly the brightest light in such a dark time. Seeing her so little, fragile - innocent. She is truly a little miracle. My volume was down so i couldn't hear what was going on, but I kept seeing this building on fire (not paying it any mind), I rooled back over and went back to sleep. About an hour later my sister called me crying, she informed me on what had just happened. I didn't have a feeling right away about the situation and it actually took a about a month for them to kick in. I was driving down the street listening to the radio, when they started playing the all-stars tribet "What's going on" at that point and time I realize that impact that was done. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I had a class at 9:35 AM. I have a habit of watching the news in the morning, so I can keep up with current events. I remember turning on CNN and seeing a reporter from NY describing how a plane had hit the World Trade Center. I few minutes later, there was another explosion. The reporter assumed it was the airplane exploding and I assumed it was an accident and went to class. At 11:00 AM I returned from class. My three roommates were huddled on the couch, one sobbing and the other two just staring. They told me that two planes had hit the World Trade Center and they had fallen. I found out about the Pentagon and the crash in Shanksville. We were frightened. We were 45 minutes from D.C., 20 minutes from the Pennsylvania state line. We had friends who worked at the Capitol Building and friends who worked in New York. We didn't know how they were or what was going on. I remember calling my parents and asking what to do. We live in a small town, secluded by mountains. My parents said that if anything else happened, I was to come home and bring as many of my friends as I could. It was scary. We didn't know what to do. We just sat and watched the same images of the towers falling over and over and over....I'll never forget that dust cloud rolling down the street. We also went to a local church to give blood. They took our names and turned us away. They were running out of blood bags. Our local FBI office was blocked-off. There were jets flying overhead constantly. I never thought the sound of jets would be comforting, but on that day, it was the most wonderful sound in the world. It meant that we were being watched out for. I remember honking as I passed local firefighters and waving when I saw police officers. I never really appreciated these public service workers until September 11, 2001. I still honk when I see a fire truck passing by. I guess all I can really say is that I'll never forget what I was doing or where I was or who I was with. My mom can remember where she was when J.F.K. was shot; I can remember where I was when our world turned upside down and I'll never, ever be the same. God Bless America. Keep us free. Keep us safe. I remember watching it as it unfolded on the news the first plane hitting the tower and than the second and the news of a third plane going down in Pennsylvania. I thought at first it was all a dream and that I was going to wake up. No government would dare do this sort of thing to the United States were to powerful and to strong and than I remembered Pearl Harbor. My brother travels alot so I even felt compelled to call him in California to make sure he was O.K. and not in New York. When it was brought up as an act of terrorism I realized this would only be the start of what was to come. Many lives were lost that fatefull day but we discovered how many heros we had, how people of all walks of life, all races, all ethnic orgins came to the aide of the person standing next to them and how each of us opened our hearts to those left behind in this tragic incident. I felt like I needed to do something so I prayed that everyone would be found be it dead or alive. Now it is one year to the day that this tragic incident that will live in infany occured and I find my thoughts going out to what is happening now and how we are handling the whole situation. President Bush has done a good job of trying to stamp out terrorism wether he is right or wrong on how he is doing it does not matter, what matters is he is doing it. But we must all remember what President Roosevelt said and quote "so, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself --- nameless,unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance". We should all remember that. We must not be afraid and we must stand together as one to show the world we still carry the biggest stick and we will use it if necessary. Lady Liberty still stands tall and proud as she always has. People stand stronger and taller and we look out a little bit more for our neighbor and fellow man on the street. September 11, 2001 made us stronger, it made us stand a little taller and it made us rethink how much we have to loose. But the terrorists that day were unable to take away our self respect, our freedom and our strength. We did stumble but we didn't fall, we caught ourselves and now we are standing taller and prouder than before. Our president is talking about going to war. Many have said it is wrong and yes it is as war never cures anything but if we must enter into a war to stamp out terrorism and those behind it let it be on their soil not on ours. Let us show them how strong we are and how we will not accept terrorism and those who terrorists hide behind. Our President must be willing to go all the way to do this which means sending the troops over seas but it also means not supporting them after it is over with. We were attacked first we should never rebuild what we will destroy if we must go to war. We are a nation of strong men and women who are willing to lay down their own lives so we can continue to live in a place where we do not have to be afraid, where terrorism is not tolerated and where every man woman and child should feel safe in their own homes. We call ourselves Americans a proud people, a free people but what we really our comes from within. The United States of America where we live under one flag. If you look at the words United States of America it says it all. We as a people are United, we are united against terrorism and those who back terrorists. States is just that our country is made up of states like our people are made up of differnt backgrounds. America land of the free, home of the brave, where each and everyone of us live, where we can express ourselves any way we want as long as it is not hurting those around us. We are a strong nation a proud nation, we are the melting pot of the world where those who want to live can live without persecution. September 11th changed a lot of things including the fact that it made us a stronger nation now more than ever. We are no longer divided by skin color or ethnic or religious background we are one people willing to defend our country and standing up for what is right. Terrorism must be stomped out at any cost and the men and women of our armed services are willing to do that. We are a nation under God and indivisble. Terrorists will not divide us nor will they defeat us. We will stand proud today, tommorrow and forever and in closing we must remeber 9/11/2001. When you think of the day it is ironic 911 the same numbers we as Americans can call when in trouble. May this never happen again and May God Bless each and every one of us, believers and non believers alike. Our brave policemen, fireman, E.M.T'S and volunteers. I Was at home, 9-11-01, my son and daughter were with me, I remember how beautiful the day was. My husband called from MS. and told us to turn on the t.v. I heard something on the radio about what was going on in new york and turned it off because i honestly thought it was someones idea of a really bad joke to be saying something like that. When we arrived at my daughters school in galveston the first thing that the teachers asked was about the traffic in houston. i thought it was kinda odd but then they explained that what i heard was not only not a bad joke but in fact it was true. they had warned the people of houston that they could be next. and everyone was literally running for their lives. i was in shock. i couldnt believe that something like that had happened here. on our way back home to Kansas we drove through oklahoma city and thought that it was appropriate to stop at the memorial their and pray for alll the lives lost then and on september 11. it was the single most profoundly moving moment of my entire life. My birthday was that previous Sunday (the 9th) and I had just recently found a new job after months of employment at AIG Global Real Estate (located at 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza, a couple of blocks east of where the towers stood). I remember oversleeping. Originally I had planned on getting up early to go to the Borders book store in the World Trade Center mall before work. It turns out I was spared a great deal by being tardy. By the time I dressed and got out onto the street it was about 9:00 a.m. or so. I walked down Essex Street to reach the JMZ subway line at Delancey. It was when I began my routine commute that I noticed the top of one of the towers was smoking. I called my roommate from a payphone since my cell phone didn't seem to be working. He worked evening hours in Jersey City, so I told him to think about alternate travel plans (rather than the PATH) to work if there was a large fire at the WTC. I kept walking to the train station where I found that the platform was overly crowded for such a little-used commuter line. It was then that an MTA worker came down to the platform to explain to us what had happened. He said two planes (two? I thought) were flown into the towers, and terrorism was suspected. The trains would be stopping at Chambers Street/City Hall at that time. So, worried about my co-workers and friends I hopped on a train, got out at City Hall and proceeded to walk down a chaotic scene of people milling about and gathered around radios/TV's in order to get as much information as possible. I had to bypass Broadway and Nassau Street by using alleys and side streets in order to make it down to my office building. I noticed then that the building was undergoing evacuation as people kept streaming out. My cell phone was useless and I was unable to find anyone I knew. I then headed west toward the Towers on Liberty Street. Weaving through a mob of people scurrying around I made my way down the street when a uniformed officer loomed up in front of me, pointed at my chest and said, "Get the hell out of here now!" Stunned to the point where I couldn't challenge anything that remotely looked like authority, let alone a cop, I walked back the way I came. I moved up Fulton Street while numbly staring at all the whey faced, frantic people around me. It was when I reached the buildings of Pace University by City Hall park that I heard a terrified shout: "It's falling!" I turned around while I heard the most horrifying rumble and roar. A tower was collapsing, and the panic of thousands of people propelled us forward as if a sea had just receded from the lower portion of Manhattan. I twisted around to see if the building was 'chasing' us, but the cloud of dust and ash settled about two or three hundred yards behind me. While I walked home, a bit lost in my thoughts, I overheard a person talking on Canal Street. "I can't believe it...both of them!" I looked back once again, and both towers were gone. I spent the rest of the day at home chain smoking while my roommate brought me beer, with brief moments where I would email, instant message or (when luck allowed) phone friends and loved ones. I returned the next Monday to work, same building, gasping in the dust and smoke, surrounded by national guardsmen and police officers. Tell us your story: This is a hard story to tell, and I'm sure that even now (August 18, 2002) as we approach the first anniversary of that day, I have yet to fully deal with my grief. I did not lose anyone I knew among the many who died that day, nor have I ever lived in New York, but I have always felt bound to New York City in some way. Somehow that city is the soul of our nation; the strength, pride, diversity living together as one people. The Twin Towers were a symbol of our achievement as a free and prosperous people. The Pentagon has long stood as a sign of our country's might and determination. I live on the west coast of the United States, in California, and I was awakened by my husband. He sat down on the bed beside me and said, "You need to get up. Something bad is happening." I rolled over, half-awake. We often had conversations in the morning about current events or the morning's newspaper headline, but something in his tone was different that day. There was no amusement, no wry humor, just a flatness. He said, "A plane has crashed into the World Trade Center." I could only think it was an accident. A terrible one to be sure, but an accident nonetheless. The Towers had stood all my life, completed the year my birth, and I had always been fascinated by them. I knew they were designed to withstand the impact of an airplane. I said, "Ok, let's go look." The TV was already on. That was bad. My husband doesn't watch TV in the morning and neither do I. The sound was muted, and I sank onto the couch, dumbfounded at what I was seeing as the first tower burned. We learned that a second plane had hit the other tower. Not an accident. An attack. We watched the live broadcast, and I kept thinking about how enormous the buildings were. They held the population of the city of Santa Clara in their steel frames during the day. Tens of thousands of people. How long had they been burning? Then there was a sudden shower of debris from one tower, and a huge column-shaped cloud of dust and smoke. Even the newscaster echoed my disbelief. Where was the building? Was the smoke that thick? The smoke began to clear -- revealing only sky behind it -- and I realized I had just seen a mighty brother of the city fall. Over 100 stories collapsed in less than 3 seconds. Every floor of that building weighed 14 million pounds. Gone in a breath, with thousands of people inside. Then the next building fell, a little later. All I could think of was the people inside and the people who had to be in the streets below. A tawny cloud engulfed Manhattan, boiling through the streets to the sea where it covered the water. My beautiful city is burning. What do you do in the face of something like that? How do you act out your next moments, the next hours, the next days? I wept against my husband's leg for a few moments, silent, grappling with what I had seen. I went to work, knowing I had to keep busy or I would simply drift numbly. In traffic, I couldn't see sometimes through the tears that fell silently. I could tell by looking who else in traffic knew about the attacks, and who didn't. Those of us who knew, we all had the same shell-shocked, horrified expression. I work for AeA, the American Electronics Association, and there were clients of ours who had offices in the Twin Towers. We kept the radios and the TVs on all day, listening for word of survivors, for word from our government. Word from our clients. It looked so fake, the buildings falling like that. I had never seen such huge destruction in real life. Very few of us have, even though we think we know what it looks like. Now we know that the special effects in the movies got it right. We got snatches of rumors and information tidbits from our contacts on Capitol Hill, which I won't repeat here, but while many were false, some were not. The Pentagon had been hit, as well. All non-military aircraft were grounded. The President was airborne and his location was classified. It was every bad thriller movie and Tom Clancy novel come to life, too surreal to be believed. Our building was under lockdown, and exits normally left unlocked were secured and opened only with card keys. We scrutinized everyone we met, searching their eyes for evidence of some damnation. /Is he the enemy?/ We learned that suspicion had fallen to a man named Osama bin Laden. /Who?/ And an organization called Al-Qaida. /Who are those guys?/ When I went home that night, I drove past the San Jose International Airport. The tarmac was deserted, the airplanes all idle and dark in their parking stalls. The FedEx area by the freeway, normally bustling with activity, was silent. The parking lot was empty. All day long, the normal rhythmic roar of departing airplanes that went over my building had been absent. It was as if the nation held its breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop. The next day, it was apparent that whoever had been in the Towers when they fell, was dead. There were no wounded, no injured. You either escaped, or you burned. The Pentagon looked surprisingly intact (it was designed to withstand a huge bomb), but people had died there too. In Pennsylvania, everyone on Flight 93 perished in a heroic attempt to prevent that plane from finding its target. We will never know how many lives were saved by that bravery. At work, I searched for a map of the Twin Towers, to show me what companies had been in there. A company called Marsh had offices there, a major business affiliate with my company. Many people in our offices had personal ties to Marsh people. Marsh occupied the floors that the planes had struck. Almost their entire office population, over 700 people, had died in flames. It was part of my job to identify who had been affected, to find names in my company's database. I found several, marking their records and attaching a brief note: "Deceased. Victim of World Trade Center attacks on 9/11/01." One of the names I found was Thomas E. Burnett, Jr. He was the COO of a company called Thoratec. He is believed to have engineering the passenger revolt on Flight 93 that brought the plane down in an open field. He had lived in a town close to me. I marked his name as I had the others, feeling the respect and pride that I could not record in the database. When I was finished I was so choked with rage I could barely breathe. I had never experienced emotions like this. Their magnitude dwarfed anything I had ever known. I was ready to kill Osama bin Laden myself. I would have put a gun to his head and gladly shot him in cold blood. I would still do it now, from sheer justice if not fury. Suddenly I knew what it meant to want to fight for my country, to be willing to die for it. During my lifetime, the wars America fought meant little. They were politically motivated, poorly fought and without moral or rational purpose or design. They existed for the convenience of a corrupt politician or to curry favor with another government. But to defend my liberty, to defend it for others who cannot fight; that I understand now. I have learned what patriotism is, what it feels like. The knowing of the greatness of my country and what freedom means, feeling it in my chest like a swell of fierceness and unwavering desire. That spirit means more than my life. It is greater than money or power or fear. Obviously others know what it means too, more keenly that I before now. They were willing to die to destroy it. That second night, on September 12, the airport was running again, and FedEx was busy as usual, frantic to make up the time they had lost in being grounded. I will never be able to describe the feeling I had when I saw a jetliner pass over me as it took off from the runway. America cannot be cowed. We are indomitable, fearless, righteous in our certainty, our justice, our liberty. We are unstoppable. And I saw something else amazing happen. In the years to come, younger generations will not be able to comprehend a time that existed so recently; when the flag was not flown here. In this part of California, to display the American flag was to declare oneself a conservative racist in the land of the America-hating, tree-hugging leftists. It was in bad taste at the very least, and not even the most diehard patriots dared to show the Stars & Stripes on their car. Some houses flew it on holidays, but only then. But after 9-11, I saw it everywhere. That simple emblem was no longer a sign of conservatism, or religion, or being a redneck or a gun nut or a white supremacist. It meant only one thing: we are American, and we are strong. Stickers and flags on cars, draped on houses, from overpasses, buildings, flying on every flagpole in the city. Someone went around and covered the pedestrian overpass lights with colored plastic so at night they glowed red-white-blue. Elsewhere I saw rows of colored plastic balls hung in the flag design on train trestles. Red-white-blue Christmas lights hung in the flag design over the backs of sound walls facing the freeway. I began to see old, beat-up cars with flags painted on them. One van near my parents' house has its entire side covered with the design. Bumper stickers with declarations; "These Colors Don't Run", and "United We Stand". Someone hung a huge flag on the fence outside the San Jose Jail, facing the freeway. It is still there as I type this, almost 1 year later. I am still seeing the flag, even now. It has not disappeared like a fading trend, as so many people said it would. It is still on my car, and will remain there. Before 9-11, this did not exist here in San Jose. You would not have found a single flag displayed on a car anywhere, and precious few on homes. Maybe this helps people to understand the mind of our nation before 9-11. We lived in a fantasy world, where the most important news of the day was Chandra Levy's disappearance and her affair with Gary Condit, and whether mad cow disease was on the rampage. The President was seen as a stupid fool by many, an untried greenhorn by others. But the President has risen to the occasion, and history may show him to be one of our country's greatest presidents and statesmen, whose name will be revered for many generations. Actually it would have been great if it was such. Unfortunately I arrived at work and it was confirmed even more, by the news on T.V. I called my boyfriend John Asta and left a message since he was still asleep. He is a Nasdaq Stock Trader. Unbelievably he had just taken off 2 weeks from the desk, otherwise he would have been at work. Later he awoke to my message and he then went to the T.V. MSNBC was a morning thing for us and he was completely shocked at what was shone on the screen. "It was like watching the movie DieHard." he said. I think it was the longest day that I have experienced in a long time. It is hard to believe that a year has passed since that day. I had recently started a position with my state's humanities council and was looking forward to visiting the NEH offices. Part of the meeting was a tour of an exhibit at the Museum of American History on the morning of September 11. My boss and I had breakfast in the hotel that morning and while she went to her room to check out (we were scheduled to fly out that afternoon) I waited in the lobby. While there, I started talking to another meeting participant. While we were talking, I happened to mention that I lived in NYC for several years. She then said "have you heard what happened. Planes have flown into the Twin Towers." My first thought was of the small plane that had flown into the Empire State Building in the 40s. She then said that they were large planes, commercial planes, and then mentioned that they were possibly hijacked. I was in complete shock and started shaking. My boss then arrived and I told her the story. I then wondered if we should head to the airport and try to get an earlier flight home. I just wanted to be home. We decided to stay. A short time later, another participant came down and said that the Pentagon had been hit and that the Mall was on fire. I then got really scared. I thought we were being attacked. What was happening? Just then, several ambulances drove by and were followed by the Mass Casualty Unit. I had my cell phone and tried to call my parents but was unable to get through. I remember another man outside on his phone and we just looked at one another. "Can't get out?" I asked and he said no. As I went back inside, my co-worker was at the desk shaking. She had seen it all on TV. We put our names on a waiting list for rooms and I went up to hers. I will never forget the sight when she opened the door and I saw the TV. Lower Manhattan was covered in smoke and Katie Couric was talking. The towers were billowing, just like I heard from someone in the lobby. Just then, there were reports of a bomb going off outside the State Dept. and I thought, where do I need to be? Where is the safest place in this hotel if something happens? I looked outside and it was like a parking lot. Cars trying to get out of the city. I was able to call out on the hotel line and I called my parents and friends. While talking I turned and saw the first tower collapse and thought this was it. Manhattan was going to crumble due to all of the weight of the building and force of the fall. My heart stopped. I thought of my friends still there and worried about them (all were safe I later discovered). After an hour, things began to "calm" down and we decided to head down the street to a convenience store. Cars were everywhere and there was this off duty police officer directing traffic. She did an amazing job. As people walked by they patter her on the back and thanked her for her effort. Later, we went to a room on the top floor. Looking out the balcony we could see the smoke rising from the Pentagon and hear the helicopters overhead. Each time I heard one I felt uneasy and looked to the skies. By that afternoon an eerie calm had settled over the city. I remember looking out the window and seeing no cars. No traffic was allowed in and it seemed like a slow weekend afternoon. After two more days in D.C. (including seeing the exhibit that we were scheduled to see that Tuesday morning) we were fortunate enough to get a rental car. It took two more days to get home. For one split moment I felt the exact pain of everyone who lost someone that day. I looked at my students and saw the anguish on their faces and was at a total lose on how to comfort them and ease their fears. That same day I went to the hospital to visit my grandfather and watched his expression as we once again watched the tragedy. I realize then just how old he was and that life is not always promised tomorrow. I decided that day to make some changes. I saw something about WTC and airplanes. I was chocked. Ran around the office and screamed that something terrible had happened in New York. Most people didn?t belive me so I asked them to come and watch the news. But first of all I called my brother living in New Jersey but I didn?t reach him so I sent a mail. He answered and told me that he and his wife was safe but chocked. When I came home I watched the new the whole evening. I could not believe that this could happen in USA. And I still can?t understand it. I was very said when John F Kennedy died. But what happened to WTC was a bigger chock. I thought about all families that lost their loved once, the firebrigade that went up to help people and ran into the fire and died. Tell us your story: When I first heard that a plane hit the World Trade Center, I thought it was the one in Dallas but Dallas is just 2 story high and then I realized that it was in New York. I started to cry for the lost ones whom did not even get a chance to get out. As the day went by, we watch the TV and listen to the radio and just could not beleive that could happen to us. When I heard the the Muslims were dancing in the street, I was angry but what they do not realize it that it could happen to them and it did because their family lives within the United States. As September 11, 2002 approaches, we all fear that it would happen again but I do not think that they would do it on the same date but it could happen anytime and we need to be ready to strike back. I have a nephew-in-law whom is in the Army and he has a wife and a 10 month old boy whom he is not with because he is out trying to protect our Nation and I hope that all service men and women will be able to come home to their ones soon. My heart goes out the families that lost either their spouse, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, nephew or niece. You are really the heroes because you had to go on living and taking over your family responibilities and I know that has to be really hard. I do not know what I would do if I lost my husband or stepdaughter but I know that I would look back at this day and see all the families that lost someone and that would give me the courage to go on because you did. I really know is that its scary to think there is people that could do what they did to some people that did not dsver to die. I was A jr in high school and all i could about was my faily and friends i felt bad for those people who lost people they love, Because i knew all my family was safe. My uncle works for the goverment and i was worryed that someting might have happend to him. I know that i was no were close to new yourk or the other sites but my high school was affected by for about a week in all my class all we did was watch the news. Sporting events were canceled and we tryed are best to help out we clocted close, we had a blood dirve, we even collted mony ,we sent a big banner to new york,we also made a quilt in one of my classes . And Every one in the hole school helped out. im just thankful we have so meany great men and wemon in this country.
