It was in smoke and I watched it as it rolled up out of sight. So shocked, I told my husband "look, there if a face" He too saw it. The face was pleasant. I have never gotten over seeing it. Vin Alabiso has not returned my phone calls. I stand by my reputation of 25 years. I am no longer in the "news" business, starting an Internet company in 1994, but everyone I have worked with in the news industry knows the high standards I maintain. Dear Mr. Phillips, I heard your interview on our local radio station in Greenville, SC this morning and I can only imagine the feelings that you had seeing this terrible event take place before your eyes...I know how devastated I was merely seeing it on the television screen. Hello, and before I go any further, I extend to you also my heartfelt sorrow and sympathy. I cannot imagine what it would be like to stand there, camera in hand, and shoot what was happening. I am an amateur photographer, and I have always had the desire to be "where the action is" but I do not envy what you must be going through. May God be with you. I had sent an e-mail to 9news.com; the NBC affiliate in Denver, Co. They sent me your information, and I welcome that. First, let me say that I am a mainline Christian, not prone to hysteria over every little thing that happens especially concerning the middle East. However, what happened last week, and continues to develop is no small thing. The face in the smoke, which was also photographed by a CNN photographer from a different view, is certainly evil in nature. I only wish that CNN would comment on it; and I have not seen it on television, though some have. Please forgive my inabilitly to stay focused. I believe that the "face" is a manifestation of one of the many demons attached to the hijackers and those responsible for this evil act. I could go on and on, as I have studied Biblical prophesy quite a bit. Only until now, can I honestly say that this COULD BE the begining of the tribulation period which will usher in the second return of The Messiah. I believe God used you to expose the face of satan, the emery of us all. Too many people do not believe in the existence of a very real spiritual world, both good and evil. I saw the face from the side the day of the bombing and told a co-worker about it.I thought I was the only one who saw it and felt kind of stupid. It was in color and both towers were seen. That full photo, Gave me the hevejeves. Could you please tell me why you are only showing the right side of the photo? Thank you for providing information about the picture you took of the WTC burning. I received it from a number of sources via email. I wasn't sure what to think. Your clarifying the situation validates the picture. I want to also thank you for taking pictures and documenting a part of history that will be a turning point for us as a Nation. While this is an uncertain time, and fearful for many, it is important to log it for the future. Your pictures contribute to this documentation. You are obviously a gifted photographer. I only hope and pray your proximity to taking such pictures hasn't caused you any trauma or harm.
