I frequently volunteer to give blood. I was scheduled to show up in Branford that evening to donate. When I got there I was turned away - the red cross had brought only enough supplies to take blood from the scheduled people plus a few "walk-ins." So many people showed up spontaneously to help that they had to turn people away.]]>
