<dcterms:description>These are pictures that one of my co-workers took on November 2, 2002.

The funeral services were for Fire Fighter Benjamin Suarez, Ladder 21 on 38th Street, were held on the street where I work (30th Street), at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 209 West 30th Street. I felt compelled to stand outside and observe the ceromony. I had chills and tears the whole time. It was the saddest thing in the world. I wanted to hug everysingle one of them and tell them God was on their side.

It was amazing to see firefighters there from every state paying their respects for their fellow brothers.

God Bless.</dcterms:description>

They were very familiar with the firehouse on West 10th Street and 6th Avenue (pictured here), as my sister lives nearby. A few months earlier, Christina (who is often shy around adults) actually went into the firehouse with my sister because she wanted to tell the firemen that they were her heroes.
