My desire in this piece was to somehow depict the true reasons for freedom and liberty by placing the children in the center of the symbols of liberty and freedom that we are familiar with. Although I was many miles away from Ground Zero, this tragedy changed my world profoundly. At many times while looking through this archive, I find myself struggling to fight back the tears as the images and words cut deep. This archive is truly one of the best memorials we can offer. Thank you.</dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description>hi, my name is Lee Fuller and i live in England (UK) aswell as sending you this picture i would like to tell my story about 9/11. On september 11 2001 i was at school. Hometime was at 3pm and it takes me about 30 mins to walk home. I walked into my house completely oblivious of what was happening with the rest of the world around me. Normally when i get home my mum greets me, hugs etc and asks how i got on at school but on that day, my greeting was: "Look at this lee, its well bad" and i looked at what my mum was on about and on the tv there was two massive sky scrapers, bellowing with smoke, the BBC news people didnt really have a clue what was going on and all they could do was show us the live images fox were giving them. Still not really knowing what was going on i watched this news broadcast. Then i saw one of the towers fall. Then another. Then i cried.

God, take care of the office workers, the tourists, the rescue workers, the childred who played in the park, the hotel staff, the cleaners, the people on the hijacked flights, the goverment workers at the pentagon.

Everyone. Take care. Ill see you all oneday.

Over one year on - still makes me cry.
