Here is a view that many of you surely have seen if
you've flown into New York's La Guardia airport, as
I was on this incredibly crystal clear day, about
2 months before Sept 11's horrific and senseless
terrorist act against New Yorkers and this icon of
New York's skyline. Frequently, flights would pass
north along either the Hudson or East River, and
depending upon the time of day and your seat,
you'd most likely be treated to a breathtaking view.

Personally, I thought the World Trade Center looked alright, not beautiful but pretty nice buildings. I thought a John Hancock or Sears Tower type building, with the black windows, would look better, more modern.

Still, I was pretty shocked that they were gone. I think Trade Center One might have collapsed right as I got out of the shower before going to school. A sad day, it was, and a bright future I do not see, but maybe my generation will come in time to right the wrongs and bring peace to a world of hate and disorder.]]>
