    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[On November 1st 2003, my 5-year-old son here in New York suggested he wanted to send some of his toys to the kids who lost their homes in the Southern California wildfires. Four days later, me and two friends drove this U-Haul truck cross country filled with relief items for the fire victims and donated by hundreds of New Yorkers and Americans we met along the way. On the side of the truck we hund a large banner that read &quot;New York Says Thank You.&quot; The outpouring of compassion we were privileged to witness was a testament to the fact that New Yorkers and Americans all across the United States have NOT forgotten the spirit of giving across this country following 9/11.]]></dcterms:description>
