I am actually intrigued that you were able to capture the image. As I sat watching the news on the morning of 11 September and watched in horror along with everyone else as the building collapsed, I remember thinking that I saw the image of a face in the smoke. And I immediately remember thinking "evil". Since looking for images in the clouds is a game my four year old and I like to play, I immediately shook the image out of my head and became slightly angry with myself for what I thought was my mind playing the game. I realize now that it was not just my imagination. Whether or not it is the face of evil, it is still an image to remember. Dear Mark, Some say they have seen an angel to the right of the devil's image, or another figure. But if you look closely, you can see a distinct picture of Christ, His right hand raised just above the left horn of the devil, and His Sacred Heart exposed. To Christ's right, you can even see what appears to be his left arm near His heart, folds of His white robe, and a cincture below His heart, around the waist area. I don't know if anyone else has reported this, but at least two people in our office can make out the image. Also, I saw the image you captured in the smoke rising up from the Trade Center while watching early CBS coverage of the attack. I just wanted to say that I don't think it looks like the devil. I think it looks like a angel, or god mad. My mom thought it looked like the cowardly Loin from the Wizard of Oz. In yours the face is beginning to dissipate to some extent, but what <italic>I </italic>saw was an eerily correct rendition of the George Washington portrait, the one where the figure disappears into clouds. I can still see Washington's features in your photo, though much less clearly than they originally appeared to me. The details are all there. Sometimes the devil only shows part of it's face. This pic shows eyes, mouth, nose. I also have a colour pic of the devil exposing it's entire face and head from an orange burning fireball. This pic was taken in Canada a couple of years ago by a 16 year old who follows fire trucks with has camera. He caught the devil for that split second coming from a fully involved burning roof as firemen carried out operations from the exterior on the third floor (top) balcony. My point is that the devil has been captured on film before and I have the pic to prove it so there is a very high probability that your pic is not doctored in any way.
