Before I heard about this and recieved the email on where to find a copy of the picture, I figured I knew which picture they were talking about. I saw this same face in one of the photographs that first came across the internet immediately following the attack. I pointed it out to my husband. I didn't refer to it as a devil at the time because I didn't actually see the horns. I just thought it looked like a face. I don't know if it's the same photograph or not but I do not believe it is something that was done by a lens or any other instrument. It's just the way the smoke came out. But I do believe the devil was behind this attack and that's the problem with the US and the world in general. They have tried to block God out of everything, the court rooms, the schools, ball games, etc... and now they trying to run to him by praying etc... but God does not hear their prayers unless they are of repentance. In reality, Bin Ladden is no different in his heart than the rest of the world. He worships the devil just like most people. He is just a soul in Gods eyes and God has a plan of salvation for him as well as everyone else that doesn't serve him, so that they don't burn in the lake of fire when he comes back. I did not get a copy of paper...but had hear of this picture. Friends of mine had emailed this to me. FYI, there's a way to copy this image by right-clicking, but I'm sure most don't know about it. This was obviously a great tragedy of unspeakable evil and I appreciate your efforts in preventing others from profiting somehow from this picture. I'm not sure what to make of the satanic image, though. It makes one wonder whether the face actually posseses meaning or whether it's simply a confluence of rising smoke. P. Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am 15 years old and I am from Virginia very close to DC, and I just want to say that even though we are all going through a rough time right now, we will hold strong and stick together, and come out of this with a sense of hope for the future. As for your picture I think it is a great photograph in the first place, but I do not for one-second think that you 'doctored' or changed the image in any way, nobody in their right mind would do such a horrible thing just to get publicity. But I do believe that it is some sort of message, I do not like it and feel that it is a very awful thing to see, but it is here and we are going to see it, so all we can do is either try to deal with it or interpret. Dear Mark: I just read today's article about your picture that was published last Thursday. My mother called me and asked if I have seen the picture of the devil that was in the paper, and at that time I didn't. I then saw the picture and immediately wanted to go through the earlier papers, because I was at first skeptical of the authenticity of your picture and wanted to see if there were any pictures taken of the same shot. The first paper I grabbed was Wednesday's, 9-12-01, and the photo on page four shows me a picture of the devil in the smoke coming right at you when you turn to that page, and the smoke coming out from the side shows me the profile of an Arab with a turban. My question to you is whether your photo is the same, I guess building or angle as the photo of the devil on page four? I do believe that you can create images with your eyes, but this is just too much. I can look at the tower on page four that doesn't have smoke and immediately see a skeleton and if I look a little closer see a man holding his hands as if in prayer. Your photo and the smoke pictures are very obvious and I think a message from God that Satan has arrived. I know I've been more faithful in saying my prayer to St. Michael The Archangel. I have been sent this e-mail two times and both times the first thing I saw was The Blessed Mother in the lower left side of what people are calling the picture of satan. I know that Our Blessed Mother will win over satan and will announce the coming of her Son, Jesus Christ! I also hurt and pray for all the innocent people who lost their lives on that horrible day! I also know that the American people need to turn to God and put him first in their lives! If we do this, then we need not be afraid because God will protect us! If we keep turning our backs on God, then we have alot to fear! Dear Mark, Your photo is amazing!My feeling is that it's not doctored in any way. The reason I feel this way is because I took a photo and got the same results! However, mine was taken at a very old home I visited near a famous Civil War battlefield. When I took the photo I saw nothing, but upon getting it developed, it was loaded with people! They were all men in Civil War uniforms.There were also a couple of faces that looked very demonic. I feel that it's a photo of people trapped in Hell. It's very disturbing. At first I couldn't quite tell what it was. I knew something was there, but was unable to make out for sure what it was. As I studied the photo however, i kept finding more and more people! It's definitely not a doctored photo--I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to doctor a photo even if I wanted to. It was taken with 400 speed film and a point and shoot Pentax camera. Some months later, I returned to the house and took a photo in exactly the same spot and got nothing. I've been getting quite a few unusual photos within the last couple of years. Perhaps it's a warning. I know that the day before the disaster on Tuesday ,I was talking for quite some time to my cousins telling them that I feel the end is very near because everyone seems much more aggressive and very restless. I said I felt that there was a terrible war coming soon, but I never would have thought all of this would begin on the following day.! One of the reasons I know that I feel this way is that it seems that even the spirit world now seems restless. In all the years that I've taken photos I have never gotten anything unusual in them until just recently. I feel absolutely terrible for everyone in New York. My daughter and I wanted to come out there and help, but I'm not sure how we could help. It still seems like a nightmare and that it can't possibly be real! I can only imagine how you must feel having been a firsthand witness to so much death and destruction. I'm going to be out east (I live near Chicago) at the end of October. If I thought New York City could really use my help I would "detour" there on my way home. (I'll be in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.) You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
