Title
Open Field at Somerset
Description
An open field in Somerset County, located in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, was the site where the hijacked Flight 93 crashed. Due to the heroic efforts of the passengers, the plane was diverted from its bearing toward Washington, DC. Although they died in their attempt, the passengers undoubtedly saved many more lives. This collection contains pictures of several makeshift memorials near the crash-site as well as vigils dedicated to those who lost their lives.
