on their interviews with immediate family and friends, begin to tell the story
about the undocumented workers who lost their lives in WTC disaster. Because
of their undocumented status, some of these men and women were not counted in
the official list of those missing or killed in the disaster or were not eligible
for assistance from the various aid programs. These brief reports also recount
how surviving family members have struggled to survive, and to find help and
recognition for their loss. Some of the Asociación Tepeyacs efforts to aid
the families are also noted. Also see the photos, listed below, of WTC victims
or their surviving families, associated with the short narratives described
above.
Ana y Kari [jpg, Asociación Tepeyac, November, 2002] Wife and daughter of Enemencio Dario Hidalgo,48, who was working in the kitchen of the restaurant, Windows on the World, when the tragedy occurred.
