Story:I witnessed history on September 11th in my 7th grade science classroom at Sullivan Middle School. When the bell rang at 9:40 to switch classes the hall was buzzing with news of the attacks. I couldn't believe it so I turned on the SmartBoard and started watching the news with my class. When we saw what was happening all else faded into insignificance.
Life Changed:My life has changed the most since September 11th in that I now know that freedom also comes with a price and that price is vulnerability.
Should be remembered:I think that September 11th should be remembered as a day when terrorists failed at their attack on the United States.
Flag:I did put a small flag on the outside of my classroom door and a magnetic one on my chalkboard after the September 11th attack. However, my feelings about the American flag have not changed. I have always felt a sense of pride and loyalty when seeing the flag.
